The Bulls really need to come away with Wade or James in the offseason. They Bulls could become the Celtics/Lakers of the midwest if they take advantage of the the Jordan era. Before long, the Jordan era might have less cache. If they can bring in a big ticket free agent, theyll sort of be extending that legacy since thats presumably part of the draw for James or Wade.

Rose-LeBron-Joa = Dynasty. I hope LeBron joins either the Bulls or the Lake Show. If he can join LA and they can keep Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol, they have the next decade wrapped up. I still think that when Kobe retires, LA will have more titles than Boston

I can see that but its not like that wont happen anyway...just look at how Kobe is burdened by the Jordan comparisons. He plays in LA. But it could also go the other way--hopefully. Hopefully he sees it as an opportunity to extend a legacy that started around 20 years ago. Wade, James...a lot of these guys grew up cheering for the Bulls.

What about Hinrich's contract? Its been a while since I looked at the Bulls payroll but I remember it being high. For some reason the FO seems to love Hinrich.

It's more of that Luol plays SF, the same position as LeBron, and his high salary makes him hard to trade. And the FO loves Hinrich because he plays good defense.

"Good" as in relative to Derrick Rose, or "good" as in legitimately good? I think Hinrich is ok at defense but nothing THAT special. He's better than Rose on defense though.

Wrong. I have talked with Sam Smith, and read his articles, he said when we unloaded Salmons, that gave us enough cap space to go after LeBron
