Need some opinions, though knowing you assclowns I went to the wrong place. Anyhow...

I'm deciding whether or not to go down to Tampa Bay for the game on the 13th (this would be game 5). I'm willing to buy the plane ticket and waste a vacation day (Friday and come back Monday red eye) as well as purchase the tickets....

But.... My issue is if the Hawks or Lightning sweep. Then it's a weekend excursion to Tampa (I do have friends and family there) but I'm also going down in July for the same exact thing.

So... Do I buy the plane tickets and take my chances on a game 5, or do I just sit it out. Overall, a trip down and the ticket to see game 5 would be cheaper combined than going to the UC for a game 6.

I would wait. NBC is going to make this go at least 6. haha.

But Since you have family down there, I would see if they are able to get you a ticket first before you spend money on the trip. Unless you can pay extra to get a refundable or transferable ticket, and then if you don't go down for game 5 use that as your ticket for the July weekend?

From what I just looked up, there hasn't been a sweep in the Stanley Cup since 1998. I like your chances in attempting to go there for a Game 5.

I assume the Lightning would take a game some where, but with my luck we could sweep them in an instant lol.

Pretty much a win-win then. Blackhawks sweep...then that's pretty awesome. If you get to go to a game 5 in TB (which I am looking at doing the same, just because) then that's pretty awesome.

I think at best, the chances the Blackhawks sweep are 15% or so (completely made up). I think the Blackhawks are definitely the better team but completing a sweep is pretty damn hard. Consider all the times the Blackhawks have completed one over the last 5+ years...it doesn't happen often at all.

I think there's one game where Johnson or Stamkos will play out of their minds and light up Crawford, prompting the expected response from everyone on this forum and in the fan base. So we've all got that to look forward to.

But I can't see a sweep out of this series, no matter how superior I feel the Blackhawks are to the Lightning.

I think Bishop having a game or two where he plays out of his mind is more likely. Either way, a sweep is very unlikely.

I seriously don't see this being a sweep. There's too high a chance of someone fucking up (Bickell, Q, Crow, or Rundblad) for that to happen.

How do you plan on getting into the game if you aren't from Florida?

I didn't even think about it that way lol.

I've decided to hold off. With the price of non stop tickets being well above 1k, I'm okay with watching from home and spending that money on a possible game 6.

Pretty safe bet that it's going to last more than 4 games. Personally I think Tampa can win atleast 1 in the first four.

Since 2009 the Hawks have played 18 playoff series and swept only two. Wild this year and San Jose in 2010.

Don't think you need to worry about a sweep.

11% chance it happens.
