-Cubs could add an Orlando Cabrera-type player as a Utility Player
-Andrew Cashner has a spot in the rotation
-Mark Riggins says Samardzija will be pitching out of the pen
-Perez and Johnson will compete for the 5th Outfielder spot
-Gary Matthews Sr., Doug Glanville, Dave Otto, and Keith Moreland are the only candidates to call games with Pat Hughes.
