I agree. But it is a relatively tame contract and I think the play is moving him next year at the deadline if he stays healthy... lottery ticket. Maybe sign and trade? Who knows. This is unreal. Less than a year ago, there were doubts he would ever play again. It's enormously risky holding onto him. I seriously don't get it
Might be worst front office I’ve ever seen at tradingI agree. But it is a relatively tame contract and I think the play is moving him next year at the deadline if he stays healthy... lottery ticket. Maybe sign and trade? Who knows.
I think AK is confused at his continuity strategy.

Buy high, re-sign depleted asset low.Might be worst front office I’ve ever seen at trading

I did hear today from someone on 670 while driving that the Kings were interested in Lonzo. Wouldn't that be hilarious? Especially if they made a run in the west. Highly unlikely given the arms race elsewhere.Yeah, what you're suggesting would be the smart thing to do with Lonzo, especially considering the rumors of multiple teams being interested in him. But this FO is so garbage, I can't see anything good coming out of this.
That actually would be a good move.Wait til they get six 2nd round picks for Vuc tomorrow
If they did they can draft another Daniel Gafford and then give him away for free! That actually would be a good move.
Instead they'll keep him just to watch him leave for nothing via FA in 2 years.
Hmm.. I remember the Bulls doing this before with a player..I wanna say it in during GarPax. I forget who it was though.
Well, this makes it easier to swallow. And it's a much more attractive offer to trade for since there's an easy out.

Then flip those 2 rounders on draft night for cash considerationsWait til they get six 2nd round picks for Vuc tomorrow
The end result is always more money in Jerry's pocketsThen flip those 2 rounders on draft night for cash considerations
