I was getting rid of a lot of my CD collection via a garage sale my wife's sister is having. Told my wife to price them at at 50 cents each. So she just walks in and shows me 3 copies of the Beatles "Abbey Road" I'm selling. She says why do you have 3 copies? I pull out the one shown and tell here this was a Japanese release circa mid 80's I bought. THink I paid $25 for it. So I check the markings on the box. Turns out it's the rarest one with two listed on eBay (one is at $400). Almost gave it away for 25 cents.

Virtually every great rock musician over the last 50 years has attributed their inspiration to the Beatles, but nitwts on a football forum know better. 50 years after their albums release they still sell more copies than almost any other band. 200 years from now the only rock music from our lives remembered will be the Beatles

The actual sales are in the $80-$150 range. Not as good as $400, but hundreds time better than a quarter.

Stones were better.

Funny that the Stones didnt think they were better and would admit it. Mick and keith were in awe of Lennon and the Stones copied Beatles themes on 3 albums. The Stones also recorded a Beatles song the Beatles wrote for them.
