He has under preformed this season with the Chiefs but is only 26 years old and a 3x Pro Bowler.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. is playing this year on the franchise tag for $16.7 million after turning down a six-year, $139 million deal — including a $30.25 million signing bonus offered by the Chiefs in the offseason. The 26-year-old Brown chose to bet on himself in 2022 in an effort to get more guaranteed money. Brown and his rookie agent, Michael Portner, felt that the six-year offer only protected Brown for the first two years and left room for the Chiefs to move on if they wanted to.

He’s a PB at RT right?
He’s definitely an upgrade over Jones but is his price tag worth it? $25 million +??

Not a fit in this offense. The Bears previously stated they want OL who are trim and athletic. Brown Jr is one of the biggest and least athletic guys there is. He turned down money to make him a top 5 LT and a top 3 RT, and he's actually neither (middle of road LT, borderline top 5 at RT). There's nobody I want less, given the cost, added this offseason.

I'd rather see Jones get with a strength guy and go ham this offseason. If he adds a little more weight and a lot more strength, I think he will be a good Left Tackle. I'm way more concerned about the interior. Team needs a center so bad. This is the one position that they should be willing to trade for if necessary.

Its not so much "who do we want" its that the Bears don't want Brown at the price tag he wants. I live in Kansas City and watch him play weekly. I don't care what KC gave up to get him, the eye test says he is average at best. He is not elite yet wants elite money. Once could argue there are atleast 15 LT's better than Brown, yet HE wants to be paid like he is the best.

Despite how much cap room the Bears have, they still need to be smart about deals. Spending $20M+ for a LT that isn't Trent Williams, Lane Johnson or Trist Wirfs is just bad cap management.

I think we need to bring in @Black Rainbow ‘s female side of the family to find out if Orlando Brown Jr is worth it or not!

At 10-12 mil per year at RT....sure but he wants ridiculous money and really isn't a scheme fit

I'm actually more interested in the interior instead of tackles. Picking in the top 10, I want a stud franchise tackle. I've decided the Bears can add a ton of talent in free agency, they have 1 chance to add a blue chip, franchise building talent. And that's top of the draft. And I want that pick used on offense. One of the top WRs could be a blue chipper, but I'm thinking tackle may be the best odds of getting a truly elite player on offense high in this draft.

But I like Elgton Jenkins, Nate Davis- TEN, David Edwards- LAR, Dalton Risner- DEN, Ethan Pocic and Garrett Bradbury are C's that I like. But if they do go with a FA tackle, I'd much prefer McGlinchey or Conklin to Brown Jr.

Jenkins looked awful last night. After watching that shitshow, not sure he’d be a good signing

Don't really have an opinion on Brown, but video clip criticizing him shows him getting tripped by TE Noah Gray and suggests they trade him even though he is playing under the tag so is a free agent next offseason. So not sure I put much stock in this guys opinion.

Wirfs is a RT, but could probably make a successful move to LT and be elite there, too. Man, I love THAT guy. Wish he was available!

Braxton Jones is a Poles draft pick. He's going to give him a lot of leeway in his evaluation. It will be like Leno, where he is good enough that we will continually look at other areas of priority until we wake up one day to find he has been starting for a decade.
