i've got a buddy at the university of chicago. He see's Deng there all the time, because he's friend's with one of the students there. Apparently he spends all his time going and trying to flirt with luvabulls. I'm nor sure why, but that irks me. I suppose if Derrick Rose had done the same thing, i would be kinda happy for him. Since it's Deng, i'm kinda peeved.

Don't blame you! Can we all unanimously agree that Luol Deng blows, until he proves to us otherwise!?!?

There was something I saw in the past week or so, where it was indicating that Deng should be or hopefully will be recovered from his injury by the time the season starts (something of that nature). So Deng might not be allowed to do too much until the injury heals. So it is indeed great to see Luol Deng solve all the world's problems while he slowly recovers from his injury.

i liked him two seasons ago, but i'm starting to think those seasons were a fluke/pure luck. i'm not sure what happened, but deng has seemed to have lost something to his game. until proven otherwise, deng is not a good player. he took contested shots alot last year. he didnt really cut the basket. Last year it got so bad, that i used to cringe when i saw deng being subbed in for tyrus thomas at the pf. both because he took terrible shots, and because he was so prone to injury.

still. it was pretty awesome when deng hit those two 3's, that allowed us to get a win over cleveland. Even if the last 3 was pure luck

I still can't believe we chose Deng over Gordon. Imagine if we had just re-signed Gordon, and let Luol Deng sign for the MLE in unrestricted free agency. We'd have our max 2010 capspace, Salmonella would be the starting small forward from the get go (instead of the starting small forward when Deng goes down with injury), there would be more minutes open for James Johnson at the three, and we could still sign a guy like Joe Johnson, who is a shooting guard, to be our small forward.

dont forget we'd have the best backcourt in the nba with a guard rotation of hinrich gordon and rose.

before the trade, this was one of finer nights of being a bulls fan. The bulls beat both the arguably the best team in the league as well as arguably the best player in the league.

Deng doesn't blow, c'mon now. But like most other Dukies, he's a system player. Get him in the right system & he will succeed. Skiles system was perfect for Lu because it relied on constant motion & cutting, which is a strong part of Lu's game. In Vinny's system, if you could call it one, it was pick n roll w/ Rose or Iso BG, that was it. It's no wonder Lu had a hard time adjusting. I think he can be incorporated into this offense & have some success, but this guy will never be an all-star, never be a 20ppg scorer, & never lead a team. But hey he's a really nice guy who gives alot to charity so the Bulls had to pay him $12mill/yr so it will offset all the millions he gives to good causes.

My only real problem with Deng is that he's Mr. Glass, & it takes him 10x's longer to heal from a microscopic fracture than the normal human being.

I hope Deng takes the time to develop a 3pt shot, that will really help him in our offense. If he can stretch the floor and stay healthy he will be ok. The cutting and crashing the boards will come with health and getting used to Rose.

If Deng is healthy, and is NOT made to play iso ball on the perimeter, he'll be just fine.

My biggest concern is with Vinny's offense. We have Rose and Salmons that can create their own offense, and it's up to VDN to make sure Deng doesn't get lost in the shuffle. Vinny can't waste Deng's talents by using him improperly.

As far as Deng's workout habits are concerned, he never struck me as a kid that works hard and smart on his body or game. Just because you're in the gym everyday, it doesn't mean you're doing the right things to get better.

Him being hurt has effected his ability to work out. Lou maybe a workout warrior, but depending on a person's genetics or build they can put muscle on but might not get the muscle definition we hope see when a person works out, I just hope Vinny untilises his strength, his ability to cut and crash the glass, if he gets a 3point shot that would be ok but its not the end all be all, I like his game, I like the way he plays when he is used properly, I expect him to average 17ppg and 8rpg if healthy
