Two seasons, two playoff appearances, one pennant, two hundred games won...yes, I'm quite happy with his performance.

How about now?

Still happy.

Do you seriously expect anyone to change their opinion of a manger based on a single game of his players doing really poorly? If so, you're an idiot.

I think because this team got better so fast after Maddon arrived the expectations got so high so fast... a world series WIN wasn't expected this season by pretty much anyone when Maddon took over, but the amount of wins in the regular season obviously changed that....

rightfully so but most of these guys are still kids and guys like Javy, Contreras and dare I say Bryant and Russell are playing like it as well. This core of young guys WILL win the WS.. maybe not this year by the looks of it but soon.. Maddon is a big part of it all

I know, he was my favorite manager for about 5 years before he Cubbed.

I'm just playing. But before this series I thought he was the best manager. I think Francona is an all-timer who got even better through both success and failure with Red Sox.

After what I have seen, and his demeanor in the face of that Chicago insanity, I am elevating him from #3 (where I had him behind Maddon and La Rusa) to #1 right now.

Interesting that a guy who hasn't managed in 5 years cracks your top 3 managers in mlb
