Man charged with killing mother after raping, chaining wife

BOISE — James Lee, a 24-year-old man from Meridian, Idaho, is charged with first degree murder, rape, aggravated assault, and battery after Ada County Sheriff's officials say he stabbed his mother to death at her home in Eagle Tuesday night — after he sexually assaulted his wife, wrapped her in chains, and threw her in the trunk of his car.

Eagle police got the call just before 8 p.m. from an alarmed neighbor.

According to sheriff's officials, the incident started at the couple's home in the 4900 block of North Three Links Lane in Meridian when Lee threatened his 20-year-old wife with a knife, sexually assaulted her, and then bound her in tape and chains placed her in the trunk of his vehicle.

Lee then put the couple's 4-month-old daughter in the back seat and drove off.

Lee then drove to his mother's Eagle residence on the 500 block of Water Grove Drive in the swanky Two Rivers subdivision west of Idaho 55.

The man took the infant into the home and began talking to his 46-year-old mother, said Andrea Dearden, spokeswoman for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

A 56-year-old woman who lived in the house was also there. Detectives say Lee and his mother had dinner and talked normally for about an hour until the 56-year-old woman decided to leave and go lie down because she was not feeling well.

The woman said she woke up a short time later when she heard a noise and came out to find Lee holding two knives and standing over his mother, who was lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds, Dearden said.

WHAT WHAT WHAT? That's not very nice Bri.

I didn't realize the other thread got shut down. I guess I shouldn't have 'derailed' it with talk of politics and behavior patterns.

How was that mean? Everyone knows you're like a dog with a bone. It wasn't meant be critical. You want to make sure you get the last word. That is just your personality type. There is nothing wrong with it. That's what make this world great. We are all unique.

But while we are at it, I don't always have to have the last word. I just think some people need some extra talking to. I started a thread to see what people thought. Not to tell them what I thought. I didn't post the final thing in the other thread and then lock it or shut it down. That would be me having the last word.

I apologize for getting off topic. To answer your question, I do not know if he should get the death penalty or not, but I'd be more than happy to give him the "Tom Brady".

If the evidence is rock solid, yeah fry the ******. One thing the article leaves out is whether or not he killed his wife after he put her in chains. Also why torture someone, if you plan to do it, make it clean and quick.

My guess is that he killed his momma because she told him he wasn't treating his wife well. To answer the question: don't spend the tax money on giving him a trial, just let me put a bullet through his skull.

In related news, Illinois voted to repeal the law allowing the use of the death penalty. Great, I guess that's off the table now.

Silly thing about all the naysayers arguments is how 'ineffective the death penalty has been as a deterrant'. Really? How exactly did you measure that? Could I see those metrics and stats please?

I thought it only passed the house and it was still a little up in the air with a lame duck GA session?
