The reports of KW wanting him is some old boomer on twitter from WBBM no one ever heard of prior to two weeks ago

That same boomer has linked the bears to like every candidate

Love him as a college coach but not seeing the NFL chops.

ND has the best pair of coordinators in all of CFB which is a big part of their schematic success.

Identifying and hiring top talent isn’t the part of a ceo job in the NFL. Knowing what OC to hire wouldn’t have helped the Bears in 2024.

Who would be on his staff though? I assume he knows Pep Hamilton since Pep was Bears qb coach when Freeman was rookie Bears drafted in '09. Freeman was a teammat Ohio St with Brian Hartline,Buckeye Wr Coach,Asst. OC. Hartline has a connection to Joe Philbin and Lou Anarumo,since he played for Dolphins when they coached there. If Freeman could get Pep as asst . HC/ QB coach,Phillbin as OC and Anarumo as DC. I don't hate the concept of Freeman if,and it's a big if he can assemble a stellar coaching staff,filled with competent veterans. Can he though?

Meh, he might end up being a good NFL coach eventually, but I think he needs to percolate a few more years in the college ranks.

They have requested interviews with 20+ candidates. The old boomer you use as a source has said they are enamored with everyone
