The efforts are fruitless. As I've posted a few pages back, this will change nothing. The NFL will change a few rules and be a little more aware, yes, but it's the equivalent of trying to protect a tree after it's been knocked down. If anything, the rule changes the NFL is going to put into place will deter victims from coming forward.

NFL has already changed the rules. With the new rules and all the publicity surrounding DV right now any woman who comes out with claims of DV has just ended their significant others career. You're going to see cases like Janay Rice who even though she is a victim of DV won't want to come out because they want to protect the paychecks and the future of their family.
