Its the fucking Bears man. When you bring a specialist player into the fold you need to have a plan...and we just can't plan.
I told you guys this guy needs a blocking TE and two tight end sets, but we got rid of our blocking TE's, and didn't feel the need to keep Moeki or Lasake now.
Massie needs a chip on every play, but when your LT is barely average you need to help him too and you can't do that. Anyone feeling me on Tunsil yet?
We don't seem to know how to use one dimensional players. Arians used him just fine, but opted for something he didn't have to work so hard with. The Bears get him, and he is complete trash because we can't play to his strengths.
The same with Floyd We get a player who gets rag dolled on half his plays, but has special speed. Instead of having a good plan for Floyd and using him in the Mark Anderson role (before we tried to use Mark Anderson in a starting role and ruined him), we are doing the same fucking thing.
We start him ahead of veteran OLB's who are all excellent against the run, Acho/Houston/Young. Its insane. 65 snaps a game for Floyd is insane, exposes his weaknesses, beats him down, and nerfs his speed. He should be a pass situation specialist.
Why the fuck did we extend Young if the plan was to start Floyd? Floyd would be more effective if the LT saw his moves 30 snaps a game instead of got to get his hands on him 30 more times on running downs.
Why are the Bears the Bears? Why have we become the Jaguars of the NFL? The talent doesn't matter, we are out schemed and out thunk and beat before we take the field.
