Matt Forte was a unique player.

The only one I've heard my Packer fan friends/family say "I hate playing against him, he always gashes our defense."

Idk if it was true, I just enjoyed that we had a player who got under their skin, even if it was brief lol.

Matt Forte was my favorite player up until we all learned David Montgomery can run faster than trains.

Forte was awesome…tons of heart. Most underrated had to be Neal Anderson. Guy could run like a deer

Say what you will about Phil Emery but the man stacked the offense with playmakers. They were poised to just flat out win shoot outs. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey out wide. Bennett at Tight end and Forte in the backfield.

Jay still shit the bed which led to Marshalls rant in the locker room after the O just scored 14 points in a loss and the end of his friendship with Cutler

I still remember the old Board where people were complaining about Forte, and they would say something like, if you take away his one big play he only had # of yards. ?

Forte was one of my Favorites!!!!

Forte was so underappreciated by both local and nation media.

Great player and I think he should get some HOF chatter.

He's not wrong, but you can't do the whole name drop thing and just omit the QB.

That's where Marshall (and many WRs) lose some perspective. He's got to watch a bunch of hockey interviews and just follow the simple formula of only speaking in generalities, compliment your opponent and say everyone has to do better.

He was a low key, do everything RB who was reliable.

If you look back at the 2008 draft you can make an argument he was the best RB taken. That draft included Darren McFadden, Jonathan Stewart, Felix Jones, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, Ray Rice and Jamal Charles.

That was a stacked draft class, but once again, outside of that one crazy 'CJ2K' season Forte was right with everyone and ended with the most rushing yards, most receiving yards AND the most TDs of that group.

Every one of those RBs had some real success at one point in their careers. Before Ray Rice had his incident, he was one of my favorite Ravens RB.
