so hey car drivers, watch where the fk youre going, ok?
when is bicycle awareness month? drivers why you be so crazy? is my bike a giant magnet that attracts cars but nothing else really well? WTF
I didn't know bikers joined the sissy ranks of having an "awareness month"
thats cool, man, id love to get a motorcycle. those things look so sweet, good month to start back ridin'.
Sissy ranks, eh? Tell that to the families and friends who've lost someone because some asswipe was too busy to use a turn signal or look in their mirrors and double check to see if their was a motorcyclist around. Unfortunately for us who ride motorcycles, we dont have the benefit of airbags to save us because of someone elses reckless driving. Granted it is a choice to ride a bike but that doesnt change the fact that people who dont should put a little more effort into their awareness.
So an awareness month fixes that. Okay.
Any bit helps. You dont fix any major problem in a month. You dont cure cancer because of cancer awareness but you do everything you can to bring light to a subject in hopes to improve it.
But treat it as a joke. Im sure if youve experienced close calls as i have and realized how someones stupidity came close to taking your life, you would appreciate awareness in the matter.
I want a bike
Well this is about as useless as Black History Month.
They do it is called US History in most high schools whith most textbook narratives that haven't changed since the 1960s for the most part. Most American history is dominanted by the narrative of various DWG (dead white guys).they dont have a white history month
racists

I have a problem with the idea of teaching African-American history, or women's history, as being seperate from American history. Most of the content about minorities in textbooks (and trust me I've seen quite a few current ones and quite a few from the past 100 years) is limited to boxes outside of the main narrative. A line I like that many historians use is every month is black history month. That is what we should be striving for at this point.
I have a problem with history, as it is taught as a whole.
