Maybe upgrading to a new phone

I was due an upgrade in September finally but upgrading my phone is tough.

Most phones seem to be way overpriced.

Seems like i'm the only one stuck on a 'eh' phone compared to everyone else.

As long as it's a true upgrade for you, don't worry about everyone else. Get the best thing in your range, and you'll be happy. Maybe wait until November for the pre-xmas sales. Something you might like now that is out of range might be in range later.

If your with Tmobile, the best phone is still the 4g Google2 in my opinion.....It has both touchscreen and sliding keyboard....the sliding keyboard is much easier and faster to type on....it has an hd screen and you can do everyting on it and it has a built in flashplayer.....I do most my posting on it instead of my computer....Some people say the new My touch..or you may be better off waiting for a little while.......according to a friend of mine that works for tmobil, they are working on a Google3 phone that will be the best phone available anywhere......It should be released early next year....It is still a work in progress.....or try the new mytouch, but the g3 will be well worth waiting on...

I'm going to be getting a new phone sometime next week. As much as I'd like an iPhone, I can't really justify dropping that kind of cash on one since I don't listen to MP3s that much. My dad and I are going to go in together on a family plan. His cell phone is on my sister and brother-in-law's family plan and they want to free up that spot for their youngest for when she's ready for a cell phone.

My dad wants to get an iPhone for himself. He's hard of hearing and has used my sister's before. He likes the clarity. If we go with Verizon (my current carrier), I'm probably gonna get the cheapest DROID available. If we go with AT&T, I'm probably gonna get either the BlackBerry Curve or Torch.

My dad has a Torch. It's pretty decent. Should do whatever you need it to do.

I got an iphone a couple months ago because I wanted a new ipod (mine was starting to break down, but could probably last longer) and my phone was really breaking down (my dad had the same phone and it had broken months earlier :smh. iPhone was two birds with one stone. Only downside is that my data plan is tiny, so I have to keep constant watch of if I'm in a wifi zone or not. I'm sure that none of you will really have that issue though.

I did see that I could get an iPhone 3GS for free, but it would actually end up costing me about $650. I would need the latest software, but my Mac mini is an older one and doesn't have the right processor. I would need a new Mac mini plus an external optical drive (the new ones don't have one) because I like to watch DVDs on my flat screen monitor.

The iPhone is one of the worst for clarity and volume. I would totally get a droid having both in the family now it's not even close and I have the iPhone 4. Gotta convince the wife to let me get her droid.

I have donated old, working electronics before. I donated my old cell phone to the missions and an old TV and computer monitor to Goodwill.

I've donated a few old electronics. Have some more now and will do the same with those.

Hmm interesting. I agree about volume, but clarity hasn't been much of an issue. And if I happen to be wearing headphones, the sound as a whole while using the phone is pretty good. Maybe I just have low standards...:shrug:

Yeah I know, I was just saying if you have headphone plugged in and someone calls you, the sound quality is better.

I can text and make calls with mine. No internet, no touchscreen.

I think I can put music on it but I never have.
