First, do you remember the first time you ever watched a Bears game?

Second, do you remember the first game you ever attended in person?

I've been to numerous games throughout the years ... But my first was back in 2002 when they were playing in Champaign. It was the last game of the season, they were playing the Bucs and Henry Burris was the starting quarterback that game. Even though da Bears lost that game 15-0, I still had a great time and it was a great experience. I was with my brother and our seats were at the 50, second row from the bottom and right behind da Bears bench! It was fun not only seeing the team play on the field but also having a close up view of what was going on on the bench. The memories I have of my first game could have been better with at least 3 points and a chant of Bear Down Chicago Bears, but it was fun none the less.

As far as seeing the team play for the first time, I can't really remember, but I remember when I first started paying attention to the team somewhat Eric Kramer was the starting quarterback and the team back then in the 90s was a very big disappointment. Around 1999 I was getting more into the team and the NFL and then Urlacher came in 2000 and I was hooked from that point forward. I think the main reason I wasn't into football before then is 'cause da Bulls and da White Sox had my full attention every year before then. Been a die hard fan of da Bears ever since, while I don't really follow basketball or baseball like I use to.

Other games I've been to have included a couple games vs the 49ers in 2004 and 2005, Panthers playoff game in 2005, Seahawks in 2006, Packers in 2008, Lions in 2009, Chiefs in 2011. I think I went to a game in 2007 but I can't remember (it may have only been a preseason game). I was deployed in 2010 and I was in Germany in 2012. I try and go to a game whenever I can. I won't be able to go to a game this year either, but I'm very hopeful about 2014. My wife's a Bronco fan and won't allow me to go to another Bears game, unless I take her to a Bronco game first, since she had to "suffer" through the Bears/Chiefs game I took her to. I'll be PCSing to Hood in November and there's a Bronco Texans game towards the end of December. I guess I might have to take her to that, if I can get tickets.

There are many hazy memories. I was born in Albuquerque in '86 to a dad who lived in Chicago for 30 years, so from the start I was Bears all the way. But I would say my first crystal clear memory was the game from the '94 season in the playoffs, so technically in January of '95 against the Vikings. My dad painted my face half navy blue, and half orange, and we watched on TV. I was so excited, and hooked.

But my first game in person did not occur until last season. I saw the Bears beat the Cardinals in Phoenix a few days before Christmas. Had a fantastic time. There were tons of Bears fans there which was great, and the Cardinals fans I met were all very nice.

I am far far away from Soldier Field, but my love for the Bears has been around for almost 20 years now, and my loyalty to the team runs deeper than probably a lot of average fans in Chicago.

I've got family that lives around the Chicagoland area, so whenever I'd take leave in the fall or winter during Bears season I'd try and go to a game. My mom works in a law firm in downtown Chicago and knows somebody there that has season tickets and that's how we get our tickets to the games for the most part. The Lions game I went to in 09 I had to get a ticket from stub hub and paid an arm and a leg for and I went by myself to it 'cause nobody else in my family could afford any tickets at the time and I could only afford the one, but I really wanted to go to a game before I deployed, so I did. It's a lot better to go with family or friends, but it's great to be around other Bears fans, so it wasn't like I was completely alone.

Back in 08 I was in the middle of BCT and I got two weeks leave for Christmas, so I went home and my mom got tickets to the Packers game. That was great! Bears won the game and I ended up catching a glove that one of the Bears players threw into the stands after the game.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The first game I remember was after my dad's only sister died...in 2000 the Bears beat the Lions in the Silverdome on an Edinger FG to kick em out of the playoffs.

The first games I went to was against Cincinnati at old Soldier Field in preseason 2001 and up to Minnesota in 2001 on Sunday night.

Bears won both times =)

I can't remember the first game I watched on TV.

First game I went to was October 1st, 1978, a 25-19 loss to the Raiders. I remember we blocked a FG for a return TD and I also remember the HoneyBears.

On the telly it was Dick Butkus & Gale Sayers..and the 1st QB I remember was Bobby Douglass. Brian Picollo I recall him.

1st game St. Louis 2006 Devin scores 2 touchdowns..that was where there were 50/50 Bears & Rams fans in the building..or it seemed that way.

Hopefully my boys first game is this afternoon

Congrats! My two little girls have been plopped in front of the TV for Bears games since they were babies. My 4 year old goes nuts when the Bears are on and sleeps with a stuffed Staley.

'85, rams playoff game at soldier. Got to stand by the tunnel as the players ran out. The fridge was the only one who was too much of a dick to slap hands with the kids standing there

A couple of memories of the first game I actually attended include: attending the walk through practice at Halas Hall the day before, sitting a few rows up around midfield, a couple of seats from Mrs. Sayers, Bears dominating Detroit, and doing numerous shots of lemon drops with Kevin Butler and Chris Gedney after the game.

I moved from Chicago to South Bend, INafter in 1986. I was too young to go to Soldier Field when I lived in Chi, so my first game was a preseason game at Notre Dame with the reigning superbowl champs. Got to see Payton play before he retired which is all thst mattered.

Can't remember first game on tv, but first in person was against the saints in chicago in 2008. Was AMAZING. Snowing like crazy, cold as hell, perfect weather for my first bears game.

I mean so cold that the drinks started to freeze once you got them to your seat.

Great first game action too. Daniel Manning took one to the house. Gould hit the game tying field goal to end regulation and then also hit the game winner in overtime. Couldn't have asked for a better first game in person.

Can't remember first TV game, but we went to the Thursday night game against the dolphins a couple years ago. It honestly felt like a home game, more Bears fans than I have ever seen....

And the penalty on B Marsh, throwing the ball at Cutler, who would have thought lol
We met a couple after the game who met Knox, he came out and took pics with the fans after the game in the parking lot, had my respect after that, too bad about his injury

I almost forgot that game I went to in 2005 when da Bears whipped the Falcons ass in December that year. I was about as bundled up as I could have possibly been and it was just freakin freezing! I'd get some hot chocolate but it'd be frozen within minutes lol. It was hard sitting on your ass for 3 1/2 hours or so in that game.

First game in person was a preseason game when Vince Evans was returning kicks as a rookie.

My dad's friend had an RV, which we took to an Illinois game in the morning, then to the Bears preseason game at night, then home.

Loooonnng, fun day. But I remember nothing of game particulars other than Evans, the QB, returning kicks.

That's awesome, man! It always amazes me how many Bears fans there are all over. I'd love to go to a Bears away game just to be able to experience that and see another team's stadium.

First game watched:
Dec. 14, 1985. I was one day old. Turned out to be a pretty magical season.

First game attended:
Nov. 4, 2012, @ Tennessee. One of the greatest "first games" anyone could ever attend. Marshall caught 3 TDs, Cutler's QBRat was over 138, Urlacher had a 46-yard Pick 6, and Tillman put more balls on the ground than post-pubescent midget twins. Throw in the "Let's Go Bears" chants taking over the stadium in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and the stories of Bears fans drinking Nashville dry....ahhhh, memories.
