There have been rumblings that Memphis may trade their pick and that none of the top prospects want to work out or play there. Is there a play we can make for the pick? They are adverse to adding long term salary and would probably want some later picks. Do the bulls offer up Noah and 16 for #2? We then can take harden if we think we are loosing BG or we can take theebet to be our center of the future. Just an idea.

I think if you can move Noah and #16 to get Thabeet, you've got to make that trade. Thabeet should provide the defense and rebounding Noah does, but should have more upside offensively. Also, he's more of a true center than Joakim.

I would not do this trade at all. I believe Noah is a better player than Thabeet and always will be. Noah is already one of the top shot blockers in our league per 40 minutes. I just dont see why you would make this trade for another shot blocker who isnt a sure thing. I could see Thabeet as either a complete bust or Joakim Noah without the hustle, so this trade wouldnt be worth it. I like Harden but im not sure you give up your starting center and number 16 to get him. If we didnt have Rose this trade would be fine because we could get Rubio or another point guard but since we do this trade isnt worth it. But if we were to trade down and get a pick between 4-10 i think that would be a good idea. Mabe target Jordan Hill if he falls, and i think Steph Curry would be a great 6th man off our bench

no way we trade Noah for Thabeet, Noah was about the same prospect and has already 2 years experience and is committed. Thabeet is not so sure to have a motor as Noah has. Give me Noah every day of the week and twice on sundays.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
The only thing Thabeet would give us that Noah can't is LOTS of height...and I don't think that's worth what Noah can bring to the table every night. I'd say no. The only person in this draft that I would trade Noah for is Griffin, and I don't think that's going to happen, not by a long shot. I would trade Tyrus for Thabeet though :p

For Thabeet, I don't like it.

For Harden, I'm intrigued. I would rather have BG back, but if they are not planning on bringing him back Harden may be the answer at the 2.

That said, I would try any combination of picks/players besides noah (and of course rose). Of our players currently under contract, Noah looks to have the best chance to be a quality piece on a championship team. Not that he is the 2nd best player (i.e. under contract, bg is obviously 1 or 2 right now) but his skill set would complement Bosh or Amare very well.

If we could come out of this off-season with the following, I would be ecstatic.
Noah
Bosh/Amare
Harden
Rose

Replace Harden with BG and I might faint.

If we did that trade, the target would have to be Tyreke Evans, James Harden or Jordan Hill.

Thabeet isn't worth it. I graded him out 8th or so on my rankings. I'm not sure any of them are worth it. Given that Evans is a dicey fit, Harden doesn't have a superstar ceiling, and Hill is kind of a work in progress.

Now if we could make that trade. Then trade from #2 down to #5 with Washington who reportedly likes Rubio, and get something good out of the deal that might be okay.

There's no way we could get the 2, but if we could why wouldn't we try to get 1 pick

Thabeet will be thagarbage. There is no one I want from the top 10. Also the league needs to intervene and help out the grizzlies. Who the hell does Thabeet and Rubio think they are? I hope where ever they land they suffer miserably.

i think if thabeet goes to OKC, he'll have a good career, but i don't see him being successful anywhere else in the top 6 or so.

clippers-picking griffin duh
memphis-got marc gasol
kings-they think hawes is their man of the future
wizards-got haywood which is i think pretty much what thabeet will be
t wolves-possible...
warriors-got biendrens
knicks-too fast paced

but someone will pick him in that

Yeah, I live in Arizona, so I've seen enough of Jordan Hill to know that I don't believe in him. However, I would love to have Harden on the team as our 2 guard going forward. I think he will be an excellent all around player in the mold of Mayo and Roy. That being said, I think the best bet is to resign Gordon and throw all our other assets at a Bosh first and Amare second, as many on this board feel.

That's bit of an overstatement but I think he's got BUST written all over him. As does Thabeet. If we traded Noah for the #2 to take that tree trunk then I will find Gomer Pyle, I mean, Gar Foreman & punch him square in his bulbous nose.

I like Thabeet just because I think he will be a good shotblocker in the league, and those guys have a lot of value. I don't think he will be a star though, and you'd rather use the #2 pick on a guy with star potential, rather than a guy who you project as a role player...even if he will be a really good role player. (He should be a starting caliber center, probably something like 10-11-3 in his prime).

Although I don't think the Bulls will move up for #2, so it would be a non-issue. If we had drafted Beasley last year, there would be some interest in moving up to get one of these point guards, but we have Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon in the backcourt, and this draft seems to be guard heavy up top, and I don't think any of these guards will be as good as Rose or Gordon.
