I am shocked... Shocked I tell you!Okay, maybe not. If you've been reading this blog, I've been saying since February that Boston was a paper tiger that stood no chance against Miami in the playoffs. Everyone has rushed to bury...

Do you bring back the big 3 and run it one more time, or do you figure that you can save 30-40 million in payroll + luxury tax payments as well as collect maybe 6-7 1st round draft picks to spread out over the next couple seasons. I take the money and the picks once I know my hope of winning is zero.

If they do sell, I'm buying

Ray Allen makes 10 million. A deal of Ronnie Brewer (expiring) + non guaranteed contracts (Bogans, Pargo, Lucas) is enough to swing a deal for him. Toss in a couple of draft picks, and it's a move with a lot of potential for Boston.

I dont see why Ray Allen, or any of the big 3, would be worth all of that. I normally agree with a lot of what Thonus says but not this. Is he aware that Ray Allen is in his mid 30s?

As long as Allen can shoot 3's, he's a viable commodity. I would love to see anyone replace Korver.

Miami's celebration was ridiculous. James has already made the Finals, Wade won a championship with the Heat, yet they celebrated their divisional round win as if they were the Washington Generals defeating the Harlem Globetrotters. Weird.

That's exactly what i said last night(except the globetrotters reference). I just hope they think the East is already won. That gives the Bulls a huge edge.

Can you imagine a lineup of Rose, Allen, Korver, a healthy not sucky Boozer, and Noah? Allen and Korver would force their defenders to be glued to them. Pick and roll with Boozer gives Rose all the room in the world to drive and create with Noah crashing the offensive glass. That's pretty good to me even if Allen is old. Despite his age, he averaged 44% from 3 this season and 16.5 ppg on almost 50% shooting. I'll take Ray Allen until he retires. He's still a legit SG option.

That lineup would suck like hell on defense though...

With that lineup, the best defense is a superb offense. I doubt they'd use that lineup for very long with Thibs liking defense as much as he does. Rose, Allen, Deng, Gibson, and Noah is still a pretty darn good lineup.

It really didn't surprise me that Miami beat the Celtics. They are about ten years younger than them on average across the roster. LeBron and D Wade are in their prime and are two of the best in the league. The Celtics are very talented, but they need some younger guys who can run and gun.
