Miami Radio Host: Rose Most ‘Fraudulent MVP We’ve Ever Seen’

(WSCR) As if the Bulls-Heat rivalry needed any more animosity, one Miami Radio host just threw some fuel on the fire.

During a broadcast of The Dan LeBatard Show on 790 The Ticket in Miami, co-host and executive producer Marc Hackman had some words for Bulls All Star and reigning MVP Derrick Rose in light of Rose’s comments about the dancing from LeBron James during the All Star game introductions.

“He’s the most fraudulent MVP that we have ever seen,” Hackman said.

Hackman’s comments were sparked by criticism directed at Rose from co-host Jon ‘Stugotz’ Weiner.

“Here’s the really annoying thing,” Weiner said. “You don’t want to dance? You don’t want to smile? That’s fine. That’s your prerogative. But don’t call out LeBron and Dwight (Howard) for doing so. Who the hell is Derrick Rose?”


Weiner joined The Mully and Hanley Show this morning to discuss the comments made on his radio show.

“It was an All Star game,” Weiner said. “It was an exhibition. I understand Derrick Rose is super serious, never going to smile, ‘There’s a time and a place.’ You know what? If there was ever a time and a place to smile, acknowledge the fans and give a little wave to the millions of people who voted to see you in that game, that’s the time, in my opinion.”

The Score’s host Mike Mulligan then brought up a Michael Jordan comparison.

“Did you see Michael Jordan smiling?” Mully said. “He beat the crap out of you and then sent you home naked and wanting. That’s what Derrick Rose does. He’s an assassin. He’s not out there joking around and dancing. He’s hitting shots at the end of games.”

I can't believe how much this dancing thing blew up. Did Rose really criticize LeBron and Howard by name? No. He just said time and place and that's his prerogative, though I think he should lighten up a bit during an all-star game, thts still his view on it.

Screw Miami radio hosts, theyre just glorified fans in a horrible sports town and I've basically lived here for 19 years to know that everything they say shouldnt be taken serious. Let them suck off their coward of a MVP, LBJ.

I've never listened to their sports talk, but I know enough about LeBatard to know it sucks. In fact Miami radio sucks in general. All they play is Lil Wayne and Drake.

I can. With Miami fans it's simple, it started with the draft. Lots of people questioned who would go first, Rose or Beasley. There's usually going to be a connection or some kind of inner rivalry with 1 and 2. Then add in that Chicago was the biggest threat to land LeBron or Wade(at least that what everyone thought). Lasty its going to be Miami and Chicago for the forseable future in the ECFs baring some player movement or injuries. He's a threat to their championship hopes. Haters will hate.

The only other people that really hate Rose are Thunder fans bc of the comparisons to Westbrook and to some extent Durant, in terms of superstars who are humble.

Then maybe division rival fans. But from what I've seen from lots of fans of WC teams and non Central or Miami/Boston fans, a lot of people really like Rose. Some people like him because they hate LeBron, it's weird.

Living only an hour outside Pittsburgh and about 3 1/2 outside of Cleveland...we have mainly a Cavs fanbase. When James announced he was going to the Heat it was hilarious watching a large majority of these idiots become Heat fans as if they were way back during the expansion.

Whether in my area or south beach....all their fans are flakey & fake. LeBatard is one of the worst Miami guys out there too. Can't stand him....it's a shock that ESPN gave him a show.
