Let's not act as if Rose hasn't been getting mugged in the paint so far. But yes, he's not anywhere near the DRose we know he is. Michael Carter Williams has also taken everyone by surprise so far. 9 steals in his first NBA game against the Heat...even if they weren't trying that's still impressive. He's making that trade look less like an "acquire crap to tank" move.

I think a week into his rookie year it's hard to say if he's an instant all star or the next Jeremy Linn. He's been incredible so far, if he continues as the year progresses then plenty of scouts and talent evaluators missed the boat on him. Or if he comes down to Earth and starts looking more like a rookie people will wonder what happened to him since the start of the year.
