Michael Clarke Duncan, 'Green Mile,' dead at 54

How many of you, like myself, were moved while watching The Green Mile with his character?



One of the few movies that every time it is on the tv while surfing that I become glued to it. His presence and acting made that movie.

Very small part but I loved him in Telladaga Nights also. He really was good in " The Green Mile" and agree he made that movie.



I was always surprised that he didn't get better rolls after "The Green Mile". Either he had a really shitty agent or Hollywood just wasn't writing good rolls for huge black men with a soft smile. I always liked him and wanted to see him do more than just play the big guy in action movies where he was becoming type casted.

I can easily tell you one major way they could turn this into a racial issue, but I'm not going there, I really liked MCD he had a lot of fun parts and he died way too soon.

He will be missed... Only caught a handful of episodes of "The Finder" but he always made me chuckle. I also agree with TCD regarding his role in Talladega Nights:

Armageddon, he rocked it in that movie too

I just thought his voice was what set him apart. Sure his size was distinctive but even if you didn't know his name you knew his voice.
