This will be the first time a former player has appeared on its cover.

In addition to acting as cover model, the speculation is that Jordan will also be digitized into a playable character. This means gamers will become the virtual MJ in hopes of reliving some of his trademark moments.

Re:jordon in 2k11

when i was a little kid i hated him. i've grown to appreciate him more now, but.. i never liked him as a child. i was originally from nyc. i was a casual knicks fan. i basically rooted for any team playing against jordon. orlando, suns, knicks, jazz.

I would like to see NBA 2K be able to get some classic teams. not just thir 80s West, 90s East teams. But actually teams like the 1996 Bulls, the 1988 Lakers, the 1990 Pistons, 1986 Celtics.

It would take a lot to get the permission of all of those players, but they've locked down the toughest one. I don't think getting Jud Buechler's permission would be too hard.

I would also like to see that. I would absolutely love to use the 96 Bulls or the 86 Celtics. If that ever happened, I'd be ecstatic.

That would be badass. They should just make a vintage game with all the championship teams of the last 30 years.

Funny thing. I would always talk about that with my friends. Make a game called NBA Live 1988 (or now NBA Elite).

You would have all the exact rosters from 1988, all the old arenas, Chicago Stadium, the old Forum, Boston Garden. Of course a game like that wouldn't be worth it to developers and publishers, but I'd love it. And that's all that matters.

But I'm not sure why B-ball games have not had classic teams with just the numbers. They do it on Madden and the college games. they've done it on NHL and some baseball games.

Hopefully they'll be some news at E3.

Why wouldn't it be worth it? You really think old players are gonna hold out? I think they'd jump at the oppurtunity to become relevant again and make a few bucks.

Oh no. I'm sure old players would do it.

I just don't know if it would sell well enough for a publisher or developer to take it on.

Ah, I see. Is that why they haven't come out with the new nba jam game like they were supposed too?

They are. EA Sports has the rights to it now and it will be out this year.

Check out my blog post about it. ah I love a cheap plug B)

Yeah, that's because it's only going to be on the Wii.

Not sure why they decided to do that.

It's the type of game that could be downloaded on XBL or PSN. I don't think it would need to be a disc. There are similar EA titles like Madden arcade and NHL 3 on 3 Arcade on there by EA.

I just hope you won't have to use the nunchuk controller for this. I'm not a fan of that. Hopefully it will be simple, turn the Wii remore sideways.

Man Stig, you need to upgrade. B)

PS2 is a great system, but you're missing out on some great games.

Dude I feel your pain. I'm still stuck on ps2 as well...

I just can't afford these fancy new systems...my money is going towards a laptop for college...and college itself. :p

Re:Michael Jordan will be on the cover of 'NBA 2K1

I bought my PS3 last year and I also bought NBA Live 09 for PS3.

A friend of mine bought Live 09 for PS2. It was a completely different game! Not only because of the graphics. DRose and Beasley weren´t even on the PS2 version. The whole draft class was missing. Also there were no alternate jerseys I believe. You don´t have the opportunity to play online with other people, etc. etc.

I know the PS3 is expensive. But if you can afford it you should definitely buy it.
