Michael Jordan will be on the cover of NBA 2K11, according to multiple sources.
This will be the first time a former player has appeared on its cover.
In addition to acting as cover model, the speculation is that Jordan will also be digitized into a playable character. This means gamers will become the virtual MJ in hopes of reliving some of his trademark moments.

I would also like to see that. I would absolutely love to use the 96 Bulls or the 86 Celtics. If that ever happened, I'd be ecstatic.I would like to see NBA 2K be able to get some classic teams. not just thir 80s West, 90s East teams. But actually teams like the 1996 Bulls, the 1988 Lakers, the 1990 Pistons, 1986 Celtics.
It would take a lot to get the permission of all of those players, but they've locked down the toughest one. I don't think getting Jud Buechler's permission would be too hard.

That would be badass. They should just make a vintage game with all the championship teams of the last 30 years.
Why wouldn't it be worth it? You really think old players are gonna hold out? I think they'd jump at the oppurtunity to become relevant again and make a few bucks.

Oh no. I'm sure old players would do it.
I just don't know if it would sell well enough for a publisher or developer to take it on.

Ah, I see. Is that why they haven't come out with the new nba jam game like they were supposed too?
That trailer looks nice but the graphics look eh.
Ugh, wii. There goes that, I was hoping it would hit ps2.

Man Stig, you need to upgrade. B)
PS2 is a great system, but you're missing out on some great games.
