Disagree, wouldn't be hard to move if push came to shove and he was rock solid the whole year and great in the playoffs.

Initially thought the Rosy deal was also just one, but it's not. Would have preferred it being just one, but no biggie.

I have no problems with 2 years. The money will be the interesting part. I wanted them to go after Ferrance if they didn't re-sign Rozsival. But Im good with this signing regardless. Why not keep together a blueline that dominated this season? Works for me.

This move tells me they have no confidence in any of the defensemen in Rockford to be the 6th defensemen next year.

Why would they have to bring up an AHLer? Not as if the Hawks blueline is in the middle of an ageing issue. And for what it's worth...from what I have seen from the Hogs blueliners I wouldn't blame the Hawks not having any confidence in any of them. Rozsival is a better option.

Going to be a season on the blueline of kicking Leddys bad habits out of him anyways. Don't need another young developing blueliner with the big club right now.

I don't think any are ready. Specifically Stanton or Clendening.

Unless Brookbank is traded.

Fine by me same Defense that just won the Cup returning. Good problem to have.

Thats what I was thinking, with all this money being thrown around in this year's free agency, From CLowe getting 5 mil year??? Stalberg at 4 mil? and Alfi wow! NO THANKS! sign the players that got you to the cup in this cap era thats nearly impossible to do, while others are trying to gel the chemistry, Hawks are still intact for the most part.

Would like to have seen Olsen get a shot as the 6th dman, but considering he's still only 22, another year in Rockford won't hurt him.

Clendening I've read still needs a season in the A for some more experience and work.

have the terms been released yet? Swear to god the Hawks are the slowest at releasing terms. Or the media sucks at prying it out of them. Going to take another two days like the Leddy signing?

Guess we will know the monetary end of the deal next week.

Good ole Hawks...never disclosing details. For all we know the Hawks might have moved to Quebec City.

I agree with Maiden and Rosh. I'd prefer him to stick around for 1 year.

Who says he won't?

Sure he would still be tradable if one full year doesn't work out. Better yet it works out and a draft pick can be gained by trading him if needed. :icon-wink:. Esp if the cap hit is low enough...which we apparently will never know

I would have liked to see him locked up a little more long term especially at that price, he's 34. I'm sure Bowman didn't want to lock himself in with our D-Men in the system, I just thought Roszival proved himself this season and was an important piece of the puzzle.

To me 2 years is long enough for a 34 year old player.
