That article mentions this, but another I read earlier said that NASA is actually already working with this tech to develop it with plans on incorporating it into the software systems of Curiosity like they showed in that add.

Apparently they're also releasing Windows 10 as a free update to 7 and 8 users for the first year after release. Seems like they may finally be taking a more proactive approach to their business model.

My friend works at Microsoft. For a year he's been telling me he's working on a secret project and can't talk about anything. At 7pm he told me he was on this project (I assumed he was on the new Windows 10 project, not this).

It depends on the product. A LOT of their app v1 stuff is buggy as shit. We (the team I work on) are an "early release partner" in other words, find the stuff that's broken and tell our indians how to work around it and we'll write a fix.
