Anybody else suffer from the occasional migraine? Or worse, chronic migraines? I'm not talking your normal headache...we're talking about the temple-pounding, vision-blurrying intensely painful headaches...

Well, I'm having one. So goodnight.

I get less intense migraines than others but the one thing that is chronic for me is the photophobia. Any overhead light makes me nauseated. I am seriously considering getting transition lenses lol

Transitions only work with direct sunlight. They don't even work when the sun is shining through a windshield. Still worth it, but I was fairly disappointed when I found that out.

****. I had an unlimited supply to midrin when I was growing up, and got a little hooked on the muscle relaxant part of it. I think dosing up on all that acetaminophen has fucked up my liver, along with booze, of course

Try to stay away from coffee as it's not a helpful habit to have while dealing with migraines.

that was midrin. caffeine + acetaminophen + muscle relaxer.

the way it was explained to me is that caffeine can help AFTER you get a migraine, but it can also help precipitate one. this was the 80's though

I get migraines that last for like a fuckin month... no joke. Thankfully it doesn't happen TOO often.

When I had a problem with migraines way back when, the doctor just told me to take aleve everyday. Now I'm all but immune to naproxen, but hey, no migraines.

My dad has chronic and I get them occasionally, though more frequently these last few years, hoping this is one trait I didn't inherit from him

I agree. When I managed to stay off caffeine for six months I never got them. I used to get ocular migraines, then that went away and now I occasionally get the full on ones, including earlier today. I was a hurting unit but one sumatriptin did the trick.
