Give Marc Trestman Jr the job. When they start losing it'll be too easy to mock him.

Don't know anything about him other than he works for Kyle Shanahan, and I love me some Kyle Shanahan. His system works in the NFL, full stop.

He's worth a look, for sure, but I'm always leery of OC's that don't call plays.

Does this surprise you though? Typical Bears fashion. Frazier will bring in a shitty OC and we will never seen Fields potential.
Frazier was 18-29 as the Vikings HC, with 2 last place finishes in the division. Ouch. Shouldn't even be a candidate.

No he shouldn’t, but of course the Bears would consider an ex Hc who failed.

It’s funny how 4 years ago nobody wanted Harbaugh, if you suggested him over Nagy you’d be laughed out of the room

Now the Bears can’t even get him into a room, and they’d need a Loan from JP Morgan for his services

There are a number of candidates I like, but 41-18 record all time in the NFL, that speaks for itself

Frazier's OC would probably be Bill Musgrave who held that job when Frazier was HC in Minny. Not a fresh new face but a solid OC.

Pep Hamilton is the guy to bring in. Hamilton is excellent at Qb development

I love this dude. I think if the Bears hire a defensive HC, whoever that is should be looking at Mike McDaniel (or Kevin O'Connell, Rams OC) to be the OC. Both are currently OCs, but I'd think they'd be allowed to make a lateral move that includes calling plays. I think they are the next big offensive names, and it makes sense if Nathaniel Hackett is getting OC interviews. Pluck from the Shanahan tree whenever you can.

that's a good point. Why not be an OC where you can call plays?

Could be, either one might be a solid choice. Frazier has been around this league a long time and has a lot of contacts.
Good observation

I like Frazier's connection to Bears'85 winning tradition. But ( HC-wise) I'd give Hamilton the edge because I know he'd immediately help with JF's development.

If we get a defensive guy as HC, we gotta have someone to run an offense that scores points. And develops JF. I hope the Bears F.O. doesn't screw this up.
