"For now, the Bulls are surely discussing future coaching candidates. They’d like a player-friendly coach, so that probably rules out Avery Johnson and Jeff Van Gundy.

Lawrence Frank, Byron Scott and Kevin McHale figure to be possibilities. Almost no chance Doug Collins gets involved again. But it’s wide open right now and the established coaches tend to shy away from taking over at mid-season. That’s another reason they’ll try to keep Del Negro."

I wouldn't get your hopes up that we'll have a new coach anytime soon.

I think this team really needs to forget making a change this year and then make a huge pitch to rick adelman when his contract expires this summer.

I like Adelman too. Legit coach. Successful runs in Portland, Sacramento and now Houston...one thing though...you gotta "d up" with that guy...he don't play.

Thats exactly why I like him for this group. His D has been great in Houston with their defensive minded players. I think our group would still D up with him. IMO he is the perfect fit for this team.

Amen to Adelman! If they don't fire VDN till the end of the season then they better make a run at Rick, I have loved him for years and he would be perfect for this team and DRose. Also free agents respect him, he is one of the best coaches in the league and there aren't a lot of them. Look what he does in Houston, maybe he isn't the best defensive coach, but it doesn't matter who is on his team, they seem to always win games.

I'm almost 100% certain that Vinny will finish out this year. With that being said, the second this season is over, you go out & get either Adelman or Scott. Scott is the more likely canidate because he is currently unemployed, he's coached two top tier PG's, is a player's coach, & has coached in 2 finals & mutiple post-seasons. I would love Adelman, but with the success Houston is having right now, without their 2 stars, I'm betting Houston is not going to let Adelman go.
