This sort of highlights how disappointing Vitters has been so far. This will be his fifth year in the system and he's behind Trey McNutt (nothing against McNutt, he's just a guy who's highest level of competition is 3 games in Double A). Vitters does still have a lot of potential and is only 21, but hitters taken third overall, even high school players, are expected to perform better than he has.

BJax has been a nice surprise. MLB Bonus Baby's community redraft has him as a top of the first round pick and the cubs got him at 31st overall.

Has anything come out about Hayden Simpson since he came down with mono?

Simpson will be in A- to start this year, as I think they said he'll be in a full-season league, so probably in Peoria.

Yeah Golden intrigues me as well.

yea i like him a lot too. if everything falls right, i think the cubs could stand to jump back into the top 15.

i think LeMahieu can take a big jump with a nice year too.

btw...how is barney considered a prospect? he's way too old for that

Same way people considered that catcher we sent to Tampa is (for some reason I cannot think of his name).

Hasn't played in the majors enough.

No Chirinos was a bit on the older side, but still was still considered a prospect, being 26. Usually players lose their 'prospect' status when they hit 28-29, when they become career minor leaguers (i.e. Bobby Scales)

Darwin Barney is only 25 years old, contrary to what i thought he was (~30)
