MLB Draft 2013: White Sox Edition

The Draft is this Thursday-Sunday.

I'm pretty sure the draft is streamed live on mlb.com for all of the days and probably on MLB Network.

The White Sox have the 17th pick in the first round.

There have been quite a few different ideas of what the Sox are looking at. Most of the sites say they will take either another OF or a pitcher.

Mayo and Callis are the most trusted guys from the list. (MLB.com and Baseball America)

and they both said Anderson. that's what I think will happen. Then again, i didn't even consider the Sox taking hawkins last year.

Sox really need a good draft. Had a good one last year and have to continue that. Gonna need some good talent coming from within.

High upside guy out of high school. Lot of risk involved in the pick, but should be able to stick at SS is what little I've read on the guy.

Im upset with this pick. Not the player himself but the position he plays, we have Tyler Saldino, Angel and Carlos Sanchez, Becks, and Alexei. Would have liked to see 3B, C, and pitching addressed. in that order

Eh you draft middle of the diamond players because they can be moved elsewhere if needed. Never a bad thing to have too many SSs and CFs in a system.

I guess, but if he doesnt have the arm for shortstop then that leaves him at 2B, not much versatility there
