In defense of the NFL schedule makers, before the season started, there was a lot of hype around Jimmy Garappolo and the 49ers, and many felt that the Giants had a down season last year and would return to their 2016 performance (when they went 11-5) now that they added a dynamic Barkley.

Snf has replaced mnf as the premiere game. ESPN has crapped the bed financially and cord cutters are making it worse. Tnf now has most of their games on fox.

SNF is infinitely times better than MNF. In terms of broadcast quality, actual games, commentary, in every facet SNF is better.

Apparently when NBC made the SNF deal they made it clear they would take no garbage.
Thirsdays suck sometimes. Mondays seem to always suck since SNF started. But NBC can even flex a couple as we know. Certainly thats not possible with TNF ir MNF but smart of NBC to negotiate that.
