Whenever I watch the highlights and see him playing I can't help but realize Monta Ellis is Allen Iverson. If you look at their stats you'll see they don't lie. Despite his size Ellis scores as much as just as any big man in the game and he is the heart and soul of his team.

He's currently averaging 26 and 5 a game! That's astounding for a guy that small. Unfortunately, he's also like Iverson in the sense that he's so small he's fragile and hasn't been very durable.

If he's able to get his rest and find a way to be more durable look for him to be one of the top 5 players of this generation. The Warriors made this guy the focal part of their franchise for a reason.

This guy is special.

ellis is definitely a force. but i feel like ai had a better jumper at least to mid-range, but they are probably on par from 3. also ai probably had better ball-handling skills (not saying monta doesnt have skills, ai was just a cut above everyone else back then). ai's crossover was world-famous, he had everyone in every playground attempting their own crossover trying to be like ai.

but youre right, their games are similar, and both play much bigger than they really are.

They are very samilar in how they play but the difference is like comparing mj in his prime to Jerry Stackhouse in his prime.
