Yeah, that thread of his had a staged feel to it (much like all of @Montucky 's current threads), although Brainblow played the indignant ex-con accused of particularly horrible crimes well. Up here, if you call a dude who spent time in prison a goof, those were fighting words, because goof has an alternate nefarious meaning to them.
