They didn't predict the end of the world in 2012. There was one particular calendar that was found that didn't go beyond the year 2012. There were other calendars found that went several thousand years later. It's all a crock of shit.

and nearly all life on earth going extinct, its not getting killed in the eruption we have to worry about, its the eventual perma winter that will blot out the sun and ultimately destroy our food supply. I watched a show on a "yellowstone supervolcano apocalypse". They do believe though that the human race will survive it, although the vast majority of us would die, and civilization would have to reboot.



Reason for that is they believe a the supervolcano Toba in Sumatra erupted about 70,000 years ago, dwindling the human population down to possibly as little as 1000, with only about 30 or so breeding females, but alas, now there are billions of us.
