According to the new FBI statistics of Violent Crimes per 100,000 residents, Detroit again reigns supreme. I realize that the stats can be deceving but they are what they are, the interesting part to me was #3 Springfield and #10 Rockford.... Chicago not on the top 10 list. Now i get that population size has a lot to do with this, but still interesting to look at.

10. Rockford (760)
9. Las Vegas - Metro (763)
8. Tallahassee (775)
7. Stockton, Cali (805)
6. Lubbock Tx (808)
5. Anchorage (813)
4. Flint, MI (827)
3. Springfield IL (855)
2. Memphis TN (1006)
1. Detroit - Metro (1111)
I actually expected to see Honolulu on there. But they came in at 268...
Interesting, upon looking at the spreadsheet, I don't see Chicago even listed as a statistical area... what's up with that? Or Gary? Weird. Maybe I'm not understanding what's being reported?
