I am not saying he is, but this link and video is so impressive. You can see the raw talent and to move at his size is amazing.

Just from watching that clip, he seems a lot faster than most other guys of his extreme size (Think Yao, Rik Smits, etc.). It sounds silly, but that extra few inches over seven feet always made guys seem like statues. He seems like he's got the ability to move without the ball and even has some shooting touch.

Obviously, he's being guarded by guys who're a foot shorter than he is who, all things considered, probably have no business playing basketball, so it's hard to gauge how truly dominant he is (or can be, for that matter). He's the kind of guy who would definitely benefit from two or three years of college ball to hone his skills and bulk up a little bit. I mean, if this guy eclipses 300 pounds, he'd be impossible to move on the low block.

he's still kinda raw and has a massive advantage of being like a foot taller than everyone else...he's good though.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Eh...I take clips like those with a grain of salt because honestly, those people guarding him are just white high schoolers who are probably at least a foot shorter than him. If he can go up against a guy his size and still do well, then I'll say something. Like many big guys, it seems like the only reason he does well right now is his pure height advantage. That being said, if he can learn to shoot a little (like ~70% ft and have a decent 15 ft jumper) and gets a few post moves that aren't just turn and dunk, then he'll have the potential to be the next Yao or even Shaq. Very very raw, but with the right coaching he could be one heck of a player.

I will wait until he hits college. Anybody remember Tyson Chandler high school clips? It looked like he was playing midgets out there, lol.

Yao Ming was a fucking gargoyle. Are you serious? After he started getting hurt every time he looked at a basketball court, it got even worse. People that size aren't meant to have that kind of agility.

Yao Ming for 7'6" was a tremendous athlete with amazing feet. Same for Smits.

Don't take my word for it. Ask Shaq.

Him being hurt all the time doesn't mean he wasn't faster than this 7'5" HS kid.

Nice work on apples and oranges there.

I actually had to lol throughout the whole video. All they do is chuck it to him in the post and he dunks over people 2 feet shorter than him. This hardly proves he would be a dominant big in the NBA although the potential is definitely there.

Things I observed:

1) First his size. And I don't mean height, I mean his girth. He's not a toothpick. He's got a man's body and with the right guidance could make guys in the NBA look small
2) He looked bored. Seriously it was like, I know what I am going to do, I know I'm the best.
3) He didn't quit. He showed hustle out there which was a good sign

I agree he's a maybe NBA'er, but is there a college team that wouldn't want him or an NBA team wishing he was eligible out of High School?

There is no way he is the age he says he is by the way. I'm not sure if it happens much in the US but in Europe we have many football(soccer) players coming from less developed nations who claim to be much younger than they actually are. In fact many teams have requested bone samples from players to prove their age and some have declined.

Maybe maybe not. Kid had a tumor on his pituitary gland which caused the size.

Who knows.

No Kareem Abdul Jabbar was the most dominate ever in HS. Most dominate guard was either Lebron or Oscar Robinson both were unstoppable.

Greg Oden was dominate in the about 10 games I went and watched him play in HS much more so than this kid.

Eric Gordon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than this kid in HS he couldn't be stopped this kid will likely never play past college his knees wont be able to handle it.

Not impressed at all by that video! I would look as dominant when I play against 5th graders!

Wait till he plays some college ball!
