Almost winning a game when it's clearly better to lose out.

I would say:

1) Punting from the 31

2) Getting a penalty on the first kick off. I'm not sure I've ever seen a team get a penalty for illegal formation as the returning team. Not to mention it was a home game, coming off a bye...

3) Two false start penalties in the first 3 plays, again, at home, coming off a bye...

3 fourth play false start
4 fifth play injury out for the game

I have never seen such poor play

The 5 step drop on 3rd & 1 was the most heartbreaking.

It was somehow the complete opposite AND the complete same as when Luke Getsy called a QB sneak out of the shotgun.

We have come full circle back to Luke Getsy is a spineless idiot and that is more discouraging than a loss to a better team.

As fucked up as the team looked to begin the game, to stay within striking distance against the best team in the NFC was quite surprising.
