I think the F.E.A.R games, at least at the time were equally scary and a little fucked up.

I can list some very weird/fucked up games I've heard of or seen.

Yeah those half life face things.....

Which reminds me of the face huggers in the AVP video game.

You play 3 campaigns ,1 as marine, 1 as alien, 1 as predator.

In the alien one you have to begin as a face hugger, and that was actually the most scary because you spend this entire level trying to find a victim to implant so you can become an actual alien, and if you face hug even a lone guard in a hallway, the alarms go off and they kill you/him.

I used to play first resident evil all the time and I was young like younger than 10. I would go the same route everytime except one day I went a different way and all the sudden the lights go out and Giants spiders jumped from the ceiling. I almost shit my pants and fell off the bed. Only video game to ever make me jump in my life. Lol

Play F.E.A.R with noise cancelling headphones in a dark room, alone.

It alternates between this paranormal creepy shit to, oh fuk there's bad guys up ahead.

At a certain point in the game you just start hoping people will shoot at you so you feel "safe"
