Not many surprises. The bottom 3 are really struggling though.

Ya, I meant as a franchise, not the on-ice performance. Bad wording.

I was reading Bloomberg Businessweek (yeah, that's right) the other day and they had a special issue dedicated to sports and more specifically, the business side of sports.

Anywho, they had a list that featured every single team from the 4 major US sports leagues called The Efficiency Index. The goal of the list was to find out which team in professional sports was the most efficient with their cash. Essentially, who got the most out of the least. Wins, playoff apperances, attendance, etc was all calculated against how much money the team spent per year.

I correctly predicted Nashville would be the number one NHL team on the list.

What I didn't predict was Nashville being the number one team in all of US pro sports. Impressive.

All of US pro-sports, eh? That is pretty impressive.

US Pro sports includes AFL, WNBA, etc. in addition to the 5-or-6 major leagues, you only mean majors, right?

Interesting. My first guess would've been the Leafs. Not much playoff production lately and still one of the top sellers in the league. Lots of fans.

Didn't the Predators just win their first Playoff-series last year?

If this list was done 5 years ago the Blackhawks would be way down the bottom. Nice to see we have turned things around and Chicago is a hockey city once more!
