I know that many of the younger riders today prefer "crotch rockets", but Harley just came out with a brilliant idea.
Every year, they will reissue one of their classic bikes.
This first time, its the 1969 Electra Glide.
They start with the 69 chassis and load it up with all the modern goodies such as their 114 CC DOHC engine, disc brakes , better shocks etc., yet still retains the classic lines of that bike.

I actually owned a 69 in red in the 80s, but this bike is so nice I am debating whether to get one or not.

Limited to 1500 bikes world wide

I doubt harley is putting out a 114cc engine.

I think you mean 114 c.i.d.

30k for what amounts to a clone for collectors with a dog of a motor and a spongy transmission.

This 114 cid motor puts out what the Victory motors put out in the mid 2000's with a 100 cid motor.

I can appreciate a classic that was well kept.... but this pathetic attempt to kindle nostalgia missed the mark.
If that was something that floated my boat looks wise, I would build my own and use quality parts.

You're right..My bad..Its not CC, but a CID. Typo

I actually thought of buying a used 69, and restoring it. But with the cost of HD parts and accessories, I think it might cost more than the 30K for the Revival.
Plus..The Revival actually does have quality parts as opposed to the original 69

If you like Victory, buy one. I don't care for their styling, but if that's your thing, go for it. I don't want a snowmobile. If Victory is superior, why are they out of business?

The HD motor isn't a dog at all, my last HD had a 107, and it was fast as hell. 100 HP in the 114 is almost too fast for the type of bike the Revival is..Its a cruiser, not meant for speed.

I'm going down to a dealer in Georgia over the weekend to check the Revival out

I only ride motorcycles made by Japanese people.
Best bike I ever owned was a Suzuki sv650.
Easy to ride. Reliable. Fun
Got that baby up to over a 100 on some country backroad once.. Though Iwas gonna die. Good young times being stupid and young
