The Movie and music industry are basically making deals with ISP's to essentially enforce SOPA without the government. Illegal file sharing is irrelevant, the fact of the matter is this is a violation of privacy.

Yeah I want to know their criteria for determining that you are pirating something. I mean if something is in a compressed format i.e., .zip, .rar



How are they going to clearly prove you are downloading illegal content.



Another way to send it without getting caught is something out of the movie along came a spider. In the movie text messages were encoded into an image, with the proper software you "decrypted" the picture to get the message.

Every packet that leaves your computer is up to public scrutiny. Be it a zombie, bot, gov't, ad, etc. And none are for positive reasons.

That's another thing...I could see a lot of less-scrupulous countries setting up a lot more proxies at knockdown prices...especially if there's a buck to be had and they know the US-based agencies have no jurisdiction and the country they're based in has no oil.
