Multiple GM's Claiming LeBron's Coming to the Bulls, Sam Smith Ain't Buyin' It

My immediate thoughts on Chad Ford's "GM sources". I'm kinda with Sam Smith on this one. I can't call it...no one can. And for some reason, Broussard loves Chicago to land LeBron. But that's just his "gut."

The truth is, no one knows anything. LeBron probably doesn't really know. But you'll find footage of his press conference in this entry along with some pics and Wilbon's piece on LeBron's legacy after this loss.

Anything that gets Favre off ESPN for a decent share of the summer, I support wholeheartedly. I can't see how LeBron doesn't end up here. Cleveland's gone as far as it can go, and Shaq looks 100 years old. New York is just a joke, and he knows he can't win there. How can he not look at Noah, Rose, the possibility of some more moves landing someone like Bosh and the ability to possibly have input on his next coach, and not be excited about Chicago? Then you throw in one of the top attending fanbases in the league, a great sports city that he's acknowledged he really likes, and doing it all in the house that Jordan built - how could he say no?

The only reason I think he'd say no is because he will always be compared to Jordan, and no matter what he does he won't top him.

I'm sorry, JayRock. I don't buy this argument at all!. You don't think he's already being compared to Jordan (and Kobe Bryant)! You don't get to be as good as LeBron is by thinking "Oh, I'll never be considered as good as Michael Jordan!" I think LeBron wants to prove to the world that he's better than Jordan, and his best chance of doing that right now, is in "the house that Michael built."

And if we can LeBron and Wade / Bosh (as the website article indicates) ... just hink how good the Bulls can be!:elephant:

That Chad Ford article got a little ahead of itself ... if we execute a sign-and-trade that includes Deng (our biggest movable contract), we are still over $1m short of signing another max contract guy. Might not seem like a big deal, but when 2 huge superstars are joining a team and one already gets a bigger deal (because of the s&t), pretty sure that other star wants a max deal himself.

Also, join this "Bulls Fans" group when you get a chance ... Bulls Fans

And check out the discussion I started there about why I hate LeBron James

FWIW, Sam Smith isn't affiliated with the Bulls in any way. He's just the main writer they feature on their website. He gets no more/less information than any other accredited member of the media. He is NOT an NBA Insider nor is he a beat writer. He merely blogs his opinion. Do not listen to him on beat issues....as he really doesn't know the inner workings of the organization.

You could just as easily see my name on the Bulls website to write a blog...It's nothing special at all.

I know that. He's still a respected beat writer league-wide and people tend to value his opinion, so I thought it was worth mentioning.
