Someone suggested the other night that the Bar requires a music subforum so that I can educate the plebs (and it will be a good place to contain Ommy and his Clapton fawning). Any chance?

Great idea! Hopefully an admin sees this and makes it happen.

Staff can still dislike posters. I'll have to inquire if that applies to half mods too.

I thought you guys made that loser a full mod?

I want music lessons

I charge $50 an hour. That covers piano, organ, composition, orchestration, history, and theory (or any combination there of). Travel time and hazard pay (not a fan of certain sections of Cali) are separate. Or you can just pray for the music subforum to exist and I'll start a weekly theory lesson...I'll have these ingrates listening to franco-russian atonalism in no time!

Post-tonal works not in the genera of "strict atonalism" (the "second Viennese school" of composers [Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, etc.] were "strict atonalists" [serialsim, accidentalism, and the like]). The franco-russian school of atonalism is often described as "free atonal" music.

Some examples most people have heard:

Debussy.

Messiaen.

Shostakovich.

Stravinsky.

Can you teach me bruce????

I'm not a competent guitarist, sorry man.

But i already listen to that stuff... what else you got?
Give us a quick lesson in theory so we can prove that a music sub forum is in order!
