Who do you think will be the MVP this season? I think Derrick Rose is most deserving of that title...

Derrick Rose
Dwight Howard
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James

Those are my top 4, just off the top of my head.

rose. he's the front runner by a significant margin. he looses, it will be an upset.

I don't know whose the most deserving, and i'm pretty tired of that conversation. Rami hou and glide are having it in quite a few threads.

I think it should be between Rose and Howard. However, I think Nowitzki, Stoudemire and Aldridge should be mentioned as well.

They should be mentioned, but they shouldn't get any first place votes.

Rose is the clear cut MVP.

Dirk has the only other legit case. Howard's team record is worse than the year before, Kobe might have a case but his team hasn't performed this well all season.

Rose.

It should be completely unanimous, too. You take him off this team, we are busy fighting the Cavs for draft placement. You take Dwight off Orlando, they're still in the playoffs. I know we have Jo, and we have Boozy, and we have Deng...but we've not had Jo and Boozy for the majority of the season, and Deng can't play 1-on-4...

Screw Stan Van and howard, screw LeBitch, Nowitzki's cool, screw Kobe - I'm out.

Its gotta be Rose but weirder stuff has happened. If he doesnt get it(which i doubt happens) i hope it goes to Howard because if you really look at surrounding talent and overall contribution on boths ends of the court, Howard deserves major recognition.

But the Bulls could possibly have 20 more wins than last season.
Rose has shown progression in his defense and long range shooting.
Assists are up(surround talent is definitely a factor though).
They possibly will end up with the first seed in the East and second best record overall in the NBA.
His 4th quarter performances
The however many games that Boozer and Noah missed without the Bulls missing a beat.

It just makes sense. What excites me about all of this is that Rose is finally getting the calls. Hes not at Wade status yet but if he wins a mvp, im sure more calls will come with the respect.

This. You're right it make sense. He's had to endure his two top players missing 54 games combined.

lebron is playing well, but his teams record against the top 6 teams is a joke. they are only this close to the Bulls and C's because of their record against the sub .500 teams which is like 32-2 or something.

Dwight is putting up major numbers, but his team's record isn't up there.

The Bulls will end up with a damn near 20 game improvement from the last two years. Rose has been the biggest performer in the biggest games.

I think the Bulls would make the playoffs without Rose actually, I don't think this is a 20 win team with those players that they have and Thibs coaching...

When you consider the injuries to Boozer and Noah... I think the Bulls would definitely take the 8th seed if Rose played 0 games. But I think they would have about 35-40 wins right now.

Skip Bayless is seriously after Rose right now. Posted his stat line(shooting at least) and said those are MVP #s? Yeah like one game determines who wins MVP. I guess he forgot to look at the standings.

I've learned to tune people like Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd out. They get paid to act stupid.

Rose didn't have a good shooting night, but he showed he has the "clutch gene" that Skip Bayless says lebronze doesn't have.

Cowherd usually has some insight, but contradicts himself all the time...like, he says if Rondo was a better scorer, he'd be the best player in the league, but he doesn't like Rose b/c he's a shoot-first PG.

Skip is just on first-take to play devil's advocate. Goes against popular belief all the time. At first, it was fine and fun...but now he believes himself. He's almost unwatchable.
