He definitely needs to practice for timing and building trust with Fields. Every snap would help, let’s be honest.

The one saving grace is that DJ is going to help everyone else out and is going to have a huge year. Claypool or Mooney is going to feast off the extra attention that Moore provides. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Claypool has quite a few huge plays. Don’t count him out yet but he needs to be out there sooner than later, they both do to be honest.

Chase Claypool wasn't very good last year because he didn't have the off season to get used to the new offense.

Now he's missing practices with an injury and it's not that big of a deal that he's missing time.

Of course his struggles had nothing to do with the trade for DJ Moore...

The Bears are going to always be incompetent is seems.
So, your favorite thing is that Claypool is injured? It’s amazing how bad you are at conveying your thoughts, but somehow you want to be a writer.

Can you back track any harder on this?

This offense looks nothing like has none of the complexities of the Shannahan offense. At no point do you look at this offense and go wow eventually we should look like the 49ers.

The offense is an extremely basic passing attack built upon running the football on third and 12.
Not backtracking at all. You said the Getsy and his simple offensive scheme could hold Fields back, I said the scheme isn’t simple and Getsy has come from the Shanahan tree.

You legit don’t know how this offense is because you can’t even tell me what a coaching tree is

Also to add Kyle isn’t the only Shanahan

+1 for spelling Shanahan right. this clown's supposed to be a journalist and probably says stupid shit like "Belichek" also.

@DanielCCSBears puts me on ignore but lives to argue and talk shit to all his other "attackers" though.

The article's conclusion is that he doesn't come from the Shannahan coaching tree. Why because he was QB coach under LeFleur who coached under Shannahan? Everything points to Moorehead and last year he ran his offense like Moorehead. Even better he ran his offense the same way that got him fired from Miss. State.

Coaching tree means that guy coached directly under the coach and then branched out on his own. I.e. the Bill Walsh coaching tree, the Andy Reid coaching tree and the Bill Belichick coaching tree. You're trying to change your argument because you were wrong and it took a simple Google search to show you how wrong you are.

Rather than agree with me that Fields could be held back because Getsy can't coach you want to say I'm wrong.

How many people on here really understand NFL coaching? What exactly he is coaching is a complete unknown to virtually everyone not in the Bears organization or those who have played/worked for them.

There are a million things that go into being a good/bad pretend I’ve coordinator- I wouldn’t even pretend to know what all goes into it to be honest. I have a guess and there are a ton of variables.

That being said, it’s also fair for people to have an opinion one way or other about whether Getsy is good or not but I don’t think there enough evidence one way or the other just yet for us not in the know.

One thing I hate though is the constant turnover, I’d be willing to bet that you’d be better off with the same offensive scheme even though it’s a middling program just because of the players familiarity and being able to play full speed.

It’s a tough job, it’s super difficult to even judge when you have all the information.

This is why I personally believe that you would have been better off with an offensive minded coach because you keep the same offensive type scheme around and offense wins championships these days.

Look at all the good teams, they’re all offensive powerhouses with offensive minded coaches and if not all- most of them are!
