Arent those "Larry and Curly" Castro, Barney and Soto?

Those guys are good/great but I consider them "table setters" get on base guys.Pujols/Fielder would need protection behind them.
Can they make plays Yes.

Honestly i think his spot in a perfect world would be a 2 hole hitter...I honestly could see him putting up Sandberg numbers. .300 20 HR 20 SB

Castro screams lead-off to me, but BJax is supposed to be, so I'm fine with Jackson, then Barney, then Castro, then say Fielder.

Are you guys(Ive been) ready/willing to accept a rebuilding process, cleaning house of the vets? And whatll come with that? 4-5 years of not competing and knowing your in rebuilding mode. I dont think the majority of Cubs fans are, hence the ridiculous contract to players like Soriano, whats his name at 1B. Theyr trying to make the impression of, "Look were spending money on players(salary went down this year, lol), were trying to compete", so you'll support the team.

Understan but The cubs would have to sign quality players though. You can't add Pujols and then sign Joe Schmo for example.

Cubs would need good players around him like(exapmple) grady sizemore...

u can't have Moe(pujols, Fielder) and no larry and curly to help/back up ...cause 1 by themselves is no good

Oh Jesus Christ No. Anyone but Grady Sizemore. He is the exact opposite of what the Cubs need.

Yeah Barney and his .320 OBP are gonna kill in the two hole.

It's actually a .337 OBP, and his defense and his statistics with Runners in Scoring Position more than make up for that IMO.

.324 now. Career numbers here. Not a good sample, but better than his stats this year.

Still, why do we want a guy with a sub .330 OBP? That's pretty bad. If you want to go by this years numbers, he will not keep at .314 BA, which is why his OBP is .337. If he wants to have a career in the MLB he is going to have to walk more than Alfonso Soriano. As far as defense, he isn't anything special. He really isn't. He really isn't special at all with RISP. He has a high BA, but his BA and OPS are higher when men aren't on base. He is very meh and should not be viewed as this teams anything of the future.

Never should have traded Fuld.

I know that would have been impossible to sit/cut Soriano in favor of Fuld, but in a perfect world it is what I would like to see. I love guys like Reed Johnson that play their hearts out day-in and day-out. He plays the game the right way. It makes no difference if he starts, or gets a pinch-hit/fielding appearance, he gives 100% all the time.

I like Campana too, he's so fast and he looks like he wants to play every day, he's actually grateful to be a Cub.

Being good >>>>> Playing hard/being grateful to be there/playing the game the right way
