Boozer is over paid, plain and simple. In fact, any of the "starters" who are not playing in the 4th quarter of a playoff game in a must win situation, should be cut post season, they're not really starters. So, Rip should be let go, Boozer should be let go, Noah gets a pass on injury.

Thib's isn't good on the fly, he really isn't. His system applies in the game, like it or not, no matter what the players are or are not doing. This may be fine in the regular season, it isn't fine in the playoffs. You go with your best... Notice Miami is down to an 8 man rotation? Play your best, unless they're stinking up the place, ala Boozer.

I like the D we play, but we have to fix this lack of scoring, plain and simple and the easiest way to fix it is at 2 and 4. I think we have the player to fix the 4, already on the team (he plays in the 4th qtr late). Two ways to fix the 2 spot, either bring in a pg (who can shoot 3's) and move rose to 2, or bring in a 2 leaving rose at 1. I sorta like the idea of bringing in a 2 that can hit 3's.

I doubt Deng will ever be an All Star again.

Rip isn't going anywhere. There is one guaranteed year on his contract. Jerry Reinsdorf is not going to pay him $5 million to not play for him AND have it count against the salary cap. Boozer should be amnestied, but the question in hand is will Reinsdorf allow that, because he will still have to pay his salary, it just wont count against the cap.

Thibs has kind of proven two years in a row now that he is not that great of a playoff coach. I've seen way too many players gassed in these playoff games for the Bulls. Why is this? And personally, I fail to understand why Luol Deng needs to play playoff minutes in the regular season. Especially with more than capable reserves on your bench. I really see no reason why Jimmy Butler cannot give Deng breathers for 5-10 minutes next season.

I think a healthy Deng can be an All-Star again, but it was hard to even justify him being one this season (I thought the same about Iguodala as well). I more so thought he would have been one last season, but whatever. Deng is best used as a 3rd option and I feel he had that role most of last season. This year he took on that 2nd option role and coupled with his wrist injury his stats declined...kinda like when everyone thought he was becoming a star going into the 2007-08 season. Deng needs his role reduced again and his importance reduced again. He seems to thrive better when less is expected of him.

Heh, it is funny you argue Thibs is a proven coach, then complain about his rotation both during the playoffs and also in the regular season, which btw, I agree with. And I never called for him to be removed... I love his D philosophy, just wish his O ideas would be as good.

I said he has proven he's not a great playoff coach. Which is why I have no quarrel with Reinsdorf not signing him to an extension yet.

huh? What's wrong with him in the playoffs? He did some mistakes but who doesn't. It's easy to judge someone's decisions in a game when the game is over.

Rip is staying.

Well, I hope all those young guards stealing the ball from him, out running him down the court are just a product of him coming back from leg injuries and not old age. If it is old age than next year will be bad as well for the Bulls from a scoring stand point.

why the **** is everyone knocking Thibs? Rose was in the game cuz there was only a lil over a minute left w/ a lead that can evaporate quickly. saw it when we played Cleveland in the playoffs a couple times. Watson was in the game last night because there is no better option. five foot JL3? no defense which proved to be the end of us. M. James? not enough playing time.

he's a young coach who will make certain mistakes. but nobody sits there & calls it a bad move when it's happening, only after the fact. no matter what you hear, this team was deflated after Rose went down. get the **** over it. it isnt Thibs that's bringing us down. dont run out a good coach cuz of unfortunate events.

My opinion, he left starters in for too long, when they weren't producing in that game. If someone is having an off game and he isn't a superstar, bench time, give someone else a shot, they could have a great day. In essence Thibs did this late in the game when he sat Boozer. But, waiting until the 4th quarter???

He coached the game like the regular season. I suppose you could argue, that got us there, but this is er, was the playoffs.

And in the playoffs you play the best players most of the game. Our 2 best players were out for most of the series. What do you expect? He'd already been riding Deng for 2 years, so we knew that was coming. JL3 was giving us nothing so you might as well play CJ because he'll at least pass. Why we didn't see more Mike James is what confuses me, but I can forgive him for not. Everyone else got about as much playing time as you would expect.
