Not a bad game. The guys who want a job, actually showed up to play, and I was impressed with team-play in this game, not just individuals trying to do too much.
Wow, James Johnson actually settled down. Just wow. He wasn't trying to do a whole lot, and played the schemes ridiculously well, for once. I don't want to jynx this, but it is progression from his first 2 games. I was getting worried about him.
Lucas had another solid game. He still needs to improve his man defense, but his lane defense has been great so far.
Bouldin looked good for a small part of the game. He really stank when he was matched on an athletic player, and was pretty much shut down on both sides.
Plaisted is getting more comfortable in SL, and he has consistently been able to get rebounds, but now he is actually positioning himself well on top of that. If we strike out on signing that 3rd big, I wouldn't be too opposed to keeping Trent on the 12 man, YES, the 12 man, not 15. He might be weak at first in the NBA, but he'll be predictable and coachable.
Almond attacked a lot, and he showed flashes.
Samuels is a project, but I can see him paying off. He has nice athleticism for an undrafted, he could have easily went in the early 2nd round though.
I think Ogilvy and Byars are flat out cuts at this point.
Overall, good game for SL.
