It means potentially several different NCAA games from different developers...

Uhhh it could mean NCAA games won't be made in general. If the NCAA doesn't want to sign a deal with EA because of these lawsuits, what makes you think they will sign a deal with anyone else?

NCAA 14 isn't awful, but the series hasn't been good lately. Still going to suck if we don't get any NCAA games.

They just need to license the teams to a game developer. The EA contract expiring, just means that EA would have to use a different approach to releasing another game.

I thought they already said there WILL be a game next year titled College football 15 :shrug:

yep, from what I read is that EA has to license the individual schools and conf, and bowl games and everything thing else which is something that they already do currently. the only difference is we wont see NCAA anywhere on the game.
