Saw bot did something similar with series - this one is for movies/documentaries on netflix. I just got netflix recently (behind the times, I know) and would like some advice on some movies and documentaries.

I watched this documentary "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia" and holy shit. If you wanna see some fucked up hillbilly-ness then watch that shit. Seriously - you will not regret it.

Any way what you guys got?

If you want a thriller, I suggest The Zodiac. Fantasy, watch Hunger Games. As for tv series, I highly recommend Breaking Bad, if you haven't seen/watched it already.

Breaking Bad for sure for a drama/action TV show. Comedy wise I like Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, and Raising Hope. As far as documentaries I watched the Worlds Toughest Prisons and found that very interesting

So I discovered something cool today and figured I should share: if you download the web-browser extension Hola and change your "country" to the UK, Netflix will allow you to stream tons of content that is blocked/unlisted in the US (different copyright laws and such). It basically acts as a proxy server so that you can view content that is blocked in your country by emulating that your signal originates elsewhere. I haven't tied any countries other than the UK, but would assume there is further content to be found by testing out a few others.

That's interesting. I use a VPN, going to play around with the countries I connect to and see what I can turn up. You find anything good coming from the UK?

I only spent a few minutes browsing, but it seems like they have a much wider range of movies (especially newer releases). I noticed that The Hobbit is on there for example, so it looks like they have deals with some of the larger studios to distribute to the UK but not here.
