From what i've seen thats not the case. They probably screwed their chances for Howard and what they did was against the rules So far I've seen no S&T Nene for Howard rumors.

At this time, Martins said there is no concrete evidence to prove that tampering occurred. ``There aren’t any tampering charges. Probably, and they'll turn it down.

I still think the Magic are going to do everything to wait this out and convince Dwight to stay. They are going to give him the keys to the franchise, so to speak, and let him dictate any possible moves.

Based on the fact Dwight wanted Glen Davis, I think Orlando is doing everything in their power to keep Dwight Howard there. That said, they have alot of work to do to get a decent team around Dwight.

Nene cannot be traded for Dwight Howard, and it would not hurt the Net's ability to trade for him even if Nene went there.

And the Nets did not tamper because ORL's GM gave the Nets permission to talk to Howard. And even if the Nets did tamper, that still would not stop them from landing Dwight someday.
